Get individualized assistance with your loved one

Sometimes our families just need more help with challenging transitions and decision-making. This may include facilitating essential conversations between family members, home care agency or caregiver selection, connections to valuable resources or regular visitations with a loved one providing "peace of mind" to family members when they are unable to visit themselves.

It can be comforting to have someone partner with you who is outside the emotional landscape of the family, doing research, talking to providers, organizing paperwork, or finding those "needle in a haystack" resources. A go-to person you can turn to when things get overwhelming. Whatever the need, we can customize our services for your family or provide you with vetted referral sources.

Maureen Simmons

maureen

Growing up in the heart of Los Angeles, Maureen learned from a young age the importance of serving others in her community. Her family was very involved in Catholic Charities and she spent many hours with her mom helping homeless women get off the streets and into various shelters. "Probably the most important lesson I learned from this experience was that every human being deserves to be treated with dignity and kindness. Each person has the ability to make a difference in someone else's life...it's just a matter of choosing to do so."

Attending University of California, Santa Barbara, Maureen earned a B.A. in Political Science and continued her outreach to the homeless community during her summer vacations.

After graduating, she worked for a large software company as an Account Manager, demonstrating her natural ability to seek out the best solutions for her clients. When her husband was transferred to Northern California, Maureen decided to stay home with her children, which afforded her the opportunity to continue with her passion for volunteering...helping children in the classroom as well as raising funds for cancer research.

After a series of health challenges with several family members, Maureen had to find Memory Care for her sister and then again for her uncle who had experienced elder abuse from an at-home caregiver. "I just remember having so many questions and concerns and feeling so lost during the process. It was overwhelming to say the least."

Realizing the need for educating families about long term care options, Maureen embraced the opportunity to work as a Senior Care Authority Advisor with those seeking to find the best care for their loved ones. "I want to make a difference during this difficult transition and it all starts with building a relationship and trust." She spends many hours researching and touring various facilities in the area to ensure her clients have peace of mind and they are treated with the dignity they deserve.

Maureen is always happy to help with all the necessary services related to assisted living facilities or residential care home for your loved ones in El Dorado county. You can see assisted living facility reviews in California on her corporate page.
